I just recently had surgury on Easter for a rip in my small intestine. I'm 22 a 22 year old male and I'm still having pains in the lower left of my abdomen and sometimes my lower right as well. My doctor keeps saying it's healing pains but I'm starting to get worried about it. Has anyone else had similar issues after their Crohn's surgeries? Is this common or something I should be concerned about?

The pain took about three months to shift after my last op. Was unbearable to begin with, but off strong pain meds. Takes time.

I notice some lower abdominal pain too. It's not constant. Is yours? Also was yours an open surgery or laparoscopic? I kind of figure it's things still healing from all they do during open surgery. I also have numbness to the left of my incision. Do you have that?

Mine was in 2011, and was open because I had had multiple surgeries previously. To be honest I can't remember where the pain was, just that it took time. I would say though I was back at work in eight weeks, it was six months before I felt really better.
