lower back ache, warm to touch but no fever???

Just wondering if this is an IBD symptom, I def have had a lower back ache o/off for the last month and often my body feels warm but when I take my temperature, I have no fever. Yesterday and today I have actually felt really good and had my 1st regular bm in a month, this evening my back started bothering me again and my hubby went to rub it for me and he said I was burning up, took my temp it was 97.8, a bit later my tummy started feeling the same, very warm to touch...temp was 98.2, now my whole body s feeling warm and just overall a bit achy and my temp is 98.8, Clearly it went up a bit but still not a fever. Could this be inflammation? Strange b/c my bowels have felt better the last to days. Any thoughts?
Thanks so much

Hiya Dream

Don't mean to scare you, but lower back pain and high temp were the first indication of my blockage last year, then the projectile vomiting, then the explosive diarrhea!
Then hospital.
Keep your eye on your temp, and especially if you start to vomit, then A&E asap.
Good luck

Hi Astra, thanks for the heads up. I haven't been running a fever, just feel like it. Man my back is really bothering me today...it seriously feels like someone is standing on it! But on a good note, 3 days now with regular bm's and only very mild stomach cramps, so I will take the good with the bad ; )
I will make sure to tell the GI doc all about it Monday when I see him/her.

Hope your doing well : )

Oh and the strange thing is...for the last month on/off it has been my entire lower back...today it is just the left side.

I have had bladder/UTI and kidney stones in the past so I know what the feels like and this is much different, just lots of pressure like someone is standing or pushing on it...strange! I am tempted to take Ibuprofen for it but scared that may make my tummy upset...and its been nice not having tummy problems last couple days!

I'm doing great, thanks!

Don't be tempted to take any NSAIDS, it's just not worth it, especially if you've got tummy ache already.
Try a hot water bottle, or a hot bath, some co codamol will suffice too.
