Im new here so I dont really know if this is in the right section, sorry! Well ever since september when I first caught a stomach bug, Ive had a soft-ish lump that comes and goes. Its between my belly button and right hip, Im guessing kind of where my ileum is. It doesnt hurt but its uncomfortable. If i push on it, it will "shrink" and my stomach would growl super bad ( side note: the right side of my stomach growls literally 24/7). The lump only really comes around if I catch the bug or if I push on the spot too much. I told my doctor about the lump and he thinks its my bowel, but he doesnt seem concerned. I do have a stricture around the same area if that means anything. If someone could help at all that would be awesome because I havent been able to find specific answers! Thanks in advance!

It sounds like it could be a hernia or a swollen lymph node. Has your doctor actually looked at it? It could be nothing but worth being checked.

Do hernias/lymph nodes come and go? Today it was different, it felt as if someone was twisting or squeezing in that spot, it went away for the hours I was golfing but then came right back when I was done. Could really bad gas be causing this to feel like its tightening? Im thinking of going on an ensure only diet for a few days just to see if it helps.

Hernias can pop out and go back in and lymph nodes can appear and disappear as well. With the pain you are describing I'm thinking you need to get this examined.

I see my GI doctor thursday after my remicade so I'll see what she says. Im starting to think the pain is from inflammation and the stricture because after I took a stool softner the pain kind of went away. Maybe if I get this inflammation/stricture taken care of, my stomach growling will stop!
