Well lets see. Looking back i have now been sick for 6 years and i was only diagnosed a year ago. Started off while i was in middle school i had what seemed like a chronic flu. No one understood why i was sick, not even my doctors. It took my doctors about four years before they even thought to send me to a GI doctor. What made them decide to was the fact that i was anemic. After i went to the GI doctor we looked over what Id already been through. Id had kidney stones, Kidney failure, Stomach pain, Ulcers, Bloody stool, Threw up blood, Id had every search imaginable. By the way, I was only thirteen when i first had my collonoscopy/endoscopy. So i was going in for my second one! this time they found a severe amount of ulcers and lesions. Of coarse my doctor knew but he had to wait for results to come in. Turned out i had a SEVERE case and needed to be treated immediately. They put me on steroids and every other med out there, if you have Crohns you know all the standard meds. :frown: After my first treatment failed they didnt know what to do. Id love to finish telling this but i actually have a remicade appt. in about 20 mins and gotta run:) im always looking for people to talk to about my disease so feel free to contact me, ill need the support and im willing to give support back. thanks

Welcome to the forum. Hey, you live pretty close to me. I am in Ogden, and my mom lives in Logan. You have been through some icky times. How did your infusion go? I have had my first 2 loading doses so far. How long have you been getting Remicade infusions? How is it working for you? Be sure to join us in the Remicade Club.

Welcome Mariah. I'm sorry it took so long for them to figure out you had Crohn's, and that the first set of treatment didn't succeed. I hope your remicade infusion went well.
