Me/cfs

Hi All
Apologies not been on here for a long-time life has been so busy!!!

I need some advice/help.

I'm wondering if any of you Crohns sufferers have been diagnoised with ME/CFS? It's looking likely that I have this and been suffering with it since I had a total colectomy. Be grateful to hear from anyone that has been diagnosed in the past

I assume for CFS you are speaking of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome? I'm sure I should know what ME is, but all that is coming to mind is Mastocytic Enterocolitis. What is it though?

As for CFS, I know there's some around here who have had that diagnosis. I see you're on B12 injections. How often do you get them and what was your serum level last time you were tested? And have you had your vitamin D, folate, and magnesium levels tested? If so, what were the levels?

ME/CFS is Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. This is an alternative term for CFS which is what is used in the US.

Old thread but yes diagnosed with ME/CFS, the extreme weakness and flu like symptoms were always blamed on my crohns but we now know multiple elements are at play.

David - Myalgic Encephalitis or ME/CFS is more commonly used abroad for CFS because it's being seen as a real disease and so many casually use the term fatigue while CFS is extremely debilitating fatigue and other symptoms.
