A common complaint from all IBD suffers is the big "D" when I was first diagnosed I would got 10 plus times!!!! No meds seem to help me in that area my gp suggest a glass of metamucil a day about 2 full scoops to a glass everyday I was skeptical but wellin to try anything that was 11 years ago and no matter how bady flare is I never have the big "d" always formed and very productive and never hard and damaging to the rectum and I have fistulas so I know a thing or 2 about that kinda pain!!!! Out of all the drugs I've been on metamucil has been the one thing that has worked everytime and never let me down!!! It's not a cure all but to have complete control over one symptom of this disease is a victory to me!!! Also I have anywhere from 2 to 4 good bm's a day. If I had to choose one treatment for the rest of my life to treat my Crohn's it would be the mucil it's been a literal life saver for me!!!!
