Hi all again,
Just about to go on Methotrexate. Interested to now how anyone has got on with it. My consultant has said to come off Azathioprine as it appears to be doing very little.
Will be having my Stome re-sited in early September.
Had a Cap-scan today-when you swallow the pill sized camera and are wired to a walkman sized pack that you carry around all day.
Was all ok-very clever stuff. The team want to see how far the Crohns is situated down around my Stoma.
Nervous times but at the mo not too worried.

I took Metho for two years. I did it in injections I gave myself once a week, towards the end I took the pill version.

Only real side effects I noticed was general fatigue the next day, headaches/low grade fevers the night of the injection. It eventually stopped working.

I just started Aziothioprine this week, seems like it is making me really tired.

Hope it goes ok! I'd love to know how long it takes for the pill cam to come out!

I was on metho for a while before my op. Was brilliant but wasn't good for my liver in the end.

Good luck!

I have to inject once a week too along with Humira. Starting to feel like a dartboard. Still we have to put up with these things i suppose.

I swallowed the pill at 8 in the morning, and it re-appeared again at about 6. It was about the size of a large Cod liver tablet.
Funny thing was, the tiny blue light on it was still flashing when it came out. lol
My 2 girls are amazed by it. It is now in a small sealed plastic bag for all to see!!

They say the docs analyzing the footage generally see the last image of people looking down the toilet bowl. Quite funny. 😷
