Does anyone use this? Does anyone know about it's usefulness in treating the constipation or reducing the risk of obstruction related to crohn's?

That's my go to laxative. If I don't go to the bathroom for a day or so I will take a few doses of miralax until I go to the bathroom. It works really well and doesn't have much of a taste. It does thinken the drink a bit but not much. I normally take it with gatorade because I found it dissolves best in gatorade. Hope I helped.

I second most of what Jeff said. It doesn't have a flavor, and just thickens whatever it is mixed with.
The only time I have used it is by doctor recommendation for prep before a colonoscopy, and yes - it worked very well, but that was probably a bigger dose than on the label.
As for the risk of obstruction, that sounds like you'd be using it on a daily basis, adn that doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

My GI wants me to take it every day but I don't. I only take it when I need it and if I need it I take it I will take a dose of it once an hour for five hours and by the end everything inside of me will have gone out.

You can safely take miralax everyday. My GI had me on it daily when it wasn't OTC. Now it is just too expensive to use compared to other options. I use a magnesium supplement called Calm that lastes me probably 2-3 months a bottle for $20 compared to $15 for one month of miralax. I also like getting some extra magnesium as it comes with health benefits that you won't find in miralax. However, both work equally well for me and if your doctor recommended miralax, then I would go with it since it really does help keep things moving quite nicely.

Probably 90% of people in group homes take miralax at least once per day actually. They still usually require enemas every 3 days though. My main concern was if it had any negative impact for people with IBD like fiber laxatives do. I guess that answers my question. I think I'll get some when I can think of it to take when I've got those temporary inflammation-induced obstructions that seem to kick my ass so often.

Mine is raspberry flavored. Its a bit tangy so at first I had to plug my nose and chug it to get it down, but now its easy to just chug. Its almost even enjoyable. All things considered its pretty easy to drink.
