Missed a dosage

Hey guys,

Haven't been on here for a while... but since I had a severe flare up two weeks ago, I've been put on prednisone, surprisingly I've never taken it before this even though I was diagnosed in 2009- so I'm no that confident about it.

I'm a bit worried because I forgot to take my 40mg dose yesterday morning... I started on 50mg last week, was feeling much better, now tapering down as per doctor's orders. He didn't really explain to me anything if you miss a pill... anyway this morning I woke up at 3am severe nausea and pain, dry retching and then vomiting. After it passed i took today's dose at about 7am (I'm in Aus).... the vomiting and worst symptoms have passed....just wondering does this sound like steroid withdrawal or something related to missing my dose? I don't really want to go see the Doc I'm scared he'll yell at me for forgetting!:eek2:

Hi. The symptoms might be a possibility of forgetting. Basically, if you do miss a dose. Just take it as soon as you remember. But, don't double up doses. Couldn't find any other info for you on missing doses though. I'm sure we've all forgotten a dose of our medications at one point or another. That's human. Xxxx
