Missing LDN doses- what happened?

My question is for people who are well controlled on LDN. Have you ever missed a dose or two or three, and if so, did you have any symptoms?

My 19 year old is on LDN since August. He is not doing well right now with more symptoms and weight loss. I counted the pills and found he had missed 10 doses over the past few months, but it's not clear whether he missed them all at once or irregularly. He thought he had only missed 2 or 3 times. I've given him a log to fill in drugs as he takes them, for the future.

Also does everyone take naltrexone at night? That seems to make it more difficult for him to remember. He takes budesonide and other drugs in the s.m.

We've missed 2-3 in a month before with no problems they were not in a row though. Jack now sets an alarm on his phone to go off at 9:00 every night so he doesn't forget anymore. it really seems to make a difference

I take mine at night, and that seems to be the general consensus as far as when to take it. I haven't missed a dose yet (I don't think), but that may be because I've only been on it for about a month so far. I will say that I have missed doses of other meds on occasion (like Pentasa, or budesonide when I was on it), but it never had a perceivable impact. Multiple days in a row of missed doses might make a difference, however. It's hard to remember to take your meds sometimes, I know... but try to make sure he sticks with it! Best of luck!

I missed a dose or two just to see what would happen. Nothing happened but my Crohn's is mild. I do set an alarm on my phone specifically for taking my LDN because I get sidetracked doing other things. Without it I would probably forget.

Perhaps he can set his watch to alarm. I will share the idea with him. Thanks!
He has an apt in 2 weeks for an apt and MRE and I'm hoping he won't miss any more mes and he'll be feeling better, weight stable by then.
