I have had a dodgy tummy for years, cramps, loose stools, terrible, foul smelling wind. It eased when I was on slimming world, but still had sudden onset diarrhea . At this time I was very ill with gall stones as well and wight plummeted, once I had the gallbladder removed, and started eating to put on weight I developed awful diarrhea and lived on imodium until I coudnt stand it any longer, GP tested for coliecs, but blood negative, and despite the anaemia and symptoms he refused to refer me to gastroenterologist.
I gave up gluten. and aside from a few mistakes, felt better than I had done for years - until April, when out of the blue, in Berlin I had sudden onset diarrhea, so bad I soiled myself, and my poor sister had to go to the laundry for me - this has happened since at home as well.
I have felt ill since then - managed to work by taking imodium, but this made my stools so hard I was in agony, and have had to stop, I have had constant irritating pain, cramps ever since April.
Colonoscopy showed active, chronic acute ileitis, but I dont see the specialist till September 2nd, and apparently the stool sample didnt show crohns.
I also have a twitchy eye, and aches in my joints , and almost in my bones - GP says get tummy sorted before she deals with that. I also have Mitochondrial Myopathy
I can barely leave the house to walk the dogs for fear of needing a poo, and am getting so depressed
Is any of this normal for Crohns?
