Mj and hemp in Georgia
I talked to my Gastro about using mj to treat my crohns.. He said he is not registered/ licensed but that he would be willing to sign up, but does not know process or how long it takes. He has 2 other patients wanting to try it.
He encourages me to try 6mp and remicade which he can start me on promptly, but mj seems safer.
Anybody else in Georgia have experience being registered for mj by their gastro?
Also, does anybody understand the law herein GA. It appears like once you are registered you can possess a sm. quantity of (High CBD, Low THC) oil. But there are no licensed dispenseries and it is still illegal to buy, sell,or grow mj. For a medicinal plant that seems to help so many people with Crohns, this seems like a cruel joke and forces people in need of help to use rather dangerous chemo drugs which are readily dispensed, or to leave the support of their friends and families and move to a different state.
Are the high cbd-low thc hemp products (cwbotanticals and canna vest) under the same restrictions?
Then there is marinol. Hospitals readily dispense this medicine which capitalizes on High THC (the physiological, mood-altering part of mj). You can get a prescription from your Dr., pick up at a pharmacy here in GA. And that is great for people in pain, who have nausea and trouble eating. But not great for people who are having trouble healing or who have inflammation and are flaring with Crohn's. Those people need the High CBD, Low THC.
