modulen is a powder containing all the calories and nutrients i need. i can only have this (mixed with water) for 6-8 weeks. i started this yesterday but today it has given me loose stools? is this a normal reaction and how long did it take to work/see results for you?

everyone is different but it took 3/4 weeks for me to reduce significanty my symptoms and increase my weight... was more than 15 years ago ...

Not so much weight increase, more the lessening of stomach cramps and normal stools

I've been on E028 which is also an elemental drink. I wouldn't worry too much as it can be liquid in so liquid out, and it can take a while for the stomach to adjust to the osmotic change in your diet.

I was on modulen for 7 weeks and I had loose stools as well and my doctor said that it was normal since it's a liquid diet and no solids are entering the body. It definitely reduced abdominal pain for me and it helped me gain weight gradually.
