Moist and sore around my bottom hole

Hi All,

This is the first time I have posted on here. I have been diagnosed 10 years and like everyone else has there ups and downs, I have been taking Prednisolone for 18 months and am slowly tapering off.

My strange problem is for the last month it has been wet and moist around my bottom hole and sore. I was wondering if anyone else has had anything similar as this is new to me.

Hi Bladegirl, and welcome. Unfortunately, I have not noticed this happening to me (at least as far as I can remember). Hopefully someone else on here can give some tips. Mind you, I have had a sore bottom hole before, but I think that was from so much wiping (having had so many bowel movements in a short period of time - it just rubbed the area raw).

Possibly mucus discharge?

You should probably get it checked out.

I'll often be moist there, and like lurker I think it's mucus discharge (that's what it appears to be when I wipe, but I'm not completely sure). Though I'm not sore... what kind of pain is it? irritated as though you've over-wiped?

No it's not an irritated wipe, it's like a burning sensation that's only there when the wetness is there, I was wondering if it might be a haemoroid

Also forgot to mention that when I clench I can feel something inside that feels like a bubble, any ideas?

Maybe you have a perianal abscess. You should check with your doctor as it may need antibiotics or draining.

Have you tried any creams yet?

Such as a barrier cream or (what's that one you guys swear by?? I don't know the name as we don't hav it here in Australia, cal... Something??)
perhaps speak to a pharmacy an get a cream to help relieve some discomfort an pain, and speak to your dr asap
