Hey guys,

I just wanted to know if anyone had any advice on moving out. I'm 21, and have wanted to "fly from the nest" for quite a while now. I have one main concern and that is health insurance. I am under my father's plan now, but when I move out I will need to get medicaid. I am worried about not getting it because if I apply now, I know my parents make too much...do I wait until I'm moved out and see if my dad will keep me on his plan until then?

Its a tough thing to get and can sometimes depending on how lucky you get with a case worker, it can take a long time. I would setup an appointment with someone at the agency that regulates it and talk to them and see if you can get a caseworker to help you out. Also, are you a college student at all? If you are, in most places you can stay on your parents health plan until you are 23 or 24 even if you don't live at home.

Good advice Saidinstouch....So Brandon, are you moving in with that special someone?????Sorry, I had to ask.

A guy that I worked with was 21 and somehow he got put back on his parents insurance even though he doesn't live at home with them anymore and graduated college. This is in NC, so not sure if the laws are different or what - but it might be worth double checking.

Yes it is ;)
I cant wait either. I'm excited to finally live with her and be able to have her at my side every night when I goto bed. I hate the nights when its cold and lonely.

That's it!!! I've only got one thing to say after all we been through!!! (I feel so used)

GOOD FOR YOU ! I hope you guys last as long if not longer than my wife and I have. Give Kristina a big hug for us.

Aint love grand... how sweet!!

Nearly forgot what it feels like to first move in with the love of your life, how exciting and new it all is... takes me back many many years.

Good luck with the move and living together :)

I remember the day my fiance moved in with me. Best day EVER...short of the wedding in a few months of course. But until that time, BEST DAY EVER. I think I got the short end of the stick though cause now she makes me pamper her everyday, but I guess feeling good with her around is worth it :).

Keep your girl close, its precious to have someone like that in your life when you aren't feeling good

I cant wait boo! Its comforting to know that I will never have another lonely cold night again, no more 3 am phone calls cause we cant sleep, and no more making sure we have back up work clothes at both houses. lol. I love you baby

Lol, yeah there has been a lot of spammers on here lately.

But I promise she's real, she slept next to me last night :D

I remember the first night Janis and I started our new life together. It was our wedding night and I was just a little tipsy when we got back to our new apartment. Low and behold someone had gotten in and put vasiline on every door knob and handles, bed was upside down in the living room, couch in the bedroom, Purple kool-aid in the shower head, shelled corn in every dresser drawer, pockets. But the worse was red Kool-aid in the toilet tank. Mind you Janis was 6 mths pregnant and when she came out of the bathroom I walked in to piddle. Talk about a scare. She had flushed the toilet and walked out so she never seen the toilet full of red stuff. Remember, I'm a little tipsy. Not anymore. Scared the crap out of me.
My bestman had came to take me to the church and when I walked out he followed and unlocked the door. What a night.

See what you guys got to look forward to. Never know when I'll show up to keep the tradition going. lol
