When I had my colonoscopy my doctor said the stricture at the
ileocecal junction was only 2mm and she suggested surgery.
I just got the results of my MRE and I am confused. The MRE says "ileocecal
junction appears normal with no evidence of wall thickening or luminal narrowing.
There is no proximal dilatation to suggest significant stricturing at the
ileocecal junction". Has anyone else ever been told that the colonoscopy
showed a significant stricture but the MRE or other imaging studies
say something else?

Hey that is confusing! But not all test reveal the same or is missed. Colonscopies in my opinion are better for detection of the disease. Some people get false negatives. Are you still experiencing pain or blockages?

Well that is great! Now I know why are you are so confused. But then again it took me 1 full year to get diagnosed and in grave pain... go figure huh?
