Had an appointment yesterday with my consultant and she says my poop and blood tests shows my crohns is still not under control so my azathioprine is being increased to 150mg and infliximab is also being increased. She is booking me for a MRI and I just wondered what should I expect?I've only heard that it's really noisy.

Yup, that's about it. not too painfull. You need to drink a litre or so of prep and an IV to put something in (not sure what as they said there wouldn't be any needles!)

But yeah, just noisy! my local hospital gives you a sheet before hand with some music on you can choose to have because you have to wear ear defenders due to the noise.

If all goes to plan you should be done and dusted in 1h30m.

if you are claustrophobic then just keep your eyes closed. you just lay in a tube and they tell you to hold still every so often and hold your breath for a few seconds while they take the picture. and yeah, lots of banging sounds.
