Mucus normal?

HI Guys,
I had my resection about 10 weeks ago, 12 inches of small intestines and 3 inches of colon. I was feeling pretty good for a few weeks and now just a few days ago I am having an achy feeling in my LRQ, diarrhea is still pretty bad and now I have noticed mucus in the toilet
Has anyone else has mucus in their stool after surgery?
This is kinda freaking me out that this could be a flare.

Hi, well you are only 10 weeks out. It takes time to heal. Sometimes if you loose you valve, between the large/small bowel the d can become a challenge. Watch your diet, greasy, high fat, too much sugar. I know it is exciting to eat again, but try to do so in a healthy way.
Did the mucus just start, or has it been present?
Have you contacted your Dr. Try to not get freaked out. Your body is still healing.

Hi, Yes mucus just started about 4 days ago, but I was pretty silly over the Thanksgiving holiday eating rich food and drinking wine, so maybe that's caused it. I'm having blood work done tomorrow so hopefully I'll have some answers.
