Anyone know of a multivitamin that is easy on the stomach? I was taking one for a few weeks but they killed my stomach. Maybe the iron that did this?

I use "Life's Fortune" liquid formula, doesn't cause me problems, but tablets didn't either.
In tweaking what I ingest, I read liquid vitamins aren't as hard on the stomach as tablets/capsules.

I have also used "Nature's Way, Ultra" with success as well.

Good luck finding something that works for you.

I would use a whole food vitamin. I use Dr. Mecola's but there are other good brands out there. They are not cheap, but they are in a usable form so the body can absorb them.

I agree with Dan. A lot of the synthetic vitamin are a waste since your body doesn't absorb them properly. I also try to get gel caps, liquid or capsules that are easily broken down. I read the ingredients label and stay away from the dyes, titanium dioxide, etc that most of the manufacturers use. I used to take a liquid iron that didn't upset my GI track. The higher quality vitamin are expensive, but I figure if your body actually absorbs it and it's not going straight through you than it is worth the price.

I take prenatal vitamins.. I usually do the gummies, never had issues with the stomach upset with those. I agree with the liquid vitamin thing however. I also have done the enfamil expecta prenatal vitamin and liked those.

How do I know if my body is absorbing the vitamins?

It is difficult to know without doing a blood test for some of the specific vitamins(iron, B12). Sometimes you can tell by how you feel but that can be difficult with all the other illness variables we have. I know that some tablets I see go straight through me. Right now I have a temporary Ileostomy so I am using supplements that are easy to absorb: gummie multivitamins, liquid minerals(potassium and Magnesium mix), liquid vitamin C, Krill Oil, and Garden of Life Raw Calcium(capsule with powder)
