I'll start this post off by saying that Bedrocan irradiates all of their products, which is information not readily available via their website. If you wish to avoid irradiated marijuana, I would look elsewhere. I do not like the practice personally, but for the price $5/g for each of their 6 strains Im not going to complain.

So my doctor finally wrote me an MMJ prescription! I have been a regular user for many years now, always feeling the benefits but I was never able to get a doctor to sign for me. My doctor recommended Bedrocan (perhaps because I am on Imuran and Bedrocan supposedly irradiates their marijuana with immunocompromised patients in mind). It took 1 week for them to process my application before I could order, and 3 days for my first order to arrive.

I tried 4 strains.

I will start by saying bedrocan weed smells... Odd. Not bad, but not good. Not that typical sweet kush smell a lot of people might be used to, nor the skunky smell some may also be accustomed to. For lack of a better word, it all has a slight "medicine" smell.

Bedrocan: 22% thc
This is a great strain for pain management. Sativa dominant with a very high THC %. I find this strain provides instant relief from cramping, nausea, and provides an instant appetite boost. I would highly recommend this to anyone who experiences a lot of nausea and cramping with their IBD. Also great for stress, but no so much for anxiety due to the high thc causing some mild paranoia and anxiety. Good for daytime use. Very strong head buzz, inexperienced users be careful as a strong sativa like this can cause severe paranoia and anxiety.

Bedica: 17% thc
A mid-range THC indica dominant strain. Provides a strong head buzz and mild body buzz. I find this one is really good for relaxing. Similar medical benefits as the Bedrocan. Good for night time use.

Bedrobinol: 17% thc
Mid-range sativa. Not much to say. Good for day time use, doesn't quite seem strong enough to me for many benefits for my pain, but works good as an anti-nauseant and stress relief anyway. Moderate, clear head buzz with little to no body buzz. I would rate it as a good strain for day time use if you have stuff to do, but not enough benefits for medical use for me. Also came very dry and crumbly.

Bedropuur: 24% thc
The strongest strain bedrocan carries with regards to thc levels. Very heavy body buzz, not as much of a head buzz as I expected considering the high thc levels. I personally don't like this strain on its own, but find myself mixing it with Bedrocan frequently to add some of the heavy body stone effects to the bedrocan and use as a sleep aid. I haven't tried this one yet for pain management, but will update if/when I do.

In general, all of these strains do provide the same benefits, just some at significantly different levels than others. I have listed them in order of what I find the best for my pain mamegement and the worst. I must say the strangest benefit I have noticed from marijuana (any strain) is instant relief from diarrhea. I can have horrible diarrhea, but as soon as I smoke, I won't need to go again until the effects wear off.

There are 2 strains I have yet to try from bedrocan: Bedrolite and Bediol, with Bedrolite being very low thc and high cbd and bediol being mid thc and mid cbd. Bediol will be on my next order, but I'm not sure I have much use for a low thc strain unless I'm at work, I would be interested in the pain relief but no high for that reason.

This post is meant to be for information and not to be taken as a review of bedrocans products.

Signing up with Bedrocan is just the first step for me to get my foot on the door for a medical growing license. I do like bedrocans cheap prices, but would never choose that over producing my own medicine for a fraction the cost. I do not support LP's who charge insane prices for their products, nor do I support where medical marijuana is headed in the future.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask! I have been researching marijuana (more recently the medical benefits of it) for years now and will do what I can to help out!

I will admit I have been a recreational user longer than I have been a medical user, so if allowed, I can provide some insight into some benefits on the drug other than only crohns related ones.

In conclusion, I am happy with Bedrocan for the time being. I do like having some variety available to me, as well as information on what i am putting in my body (terpenes, cannabinoid, etc are all listed on their website.)

I believe the LPs in canada are mandated to irradiate AKA cold pasteurization their cannabis. Im with tweed but they have bedrocan strains too i have tryed the bedrolite and i must say it tastes horrible and has a bad after taste(like all tweed/bedrocan product) and it doesnt stay lit for more than one toke. The cbd did help with pain tho

I haven't tried Bedrolite as I go for higher THC strains. LP's are not required to irradiate. Tweed does not irradiate most of their product while Bedrocan does (which strains are irradiated is clearly printed on Tweed's website).

I agree on the funny taste. I do enjoy the aroma and flavor of their Bedrocan strain a lot though, and Bedica also smells and tastes a bit better than the rest. I've never had problems with bedrocans products not staying lit though, that could be a batch specific problem. Vaporizing is the way to go anyway.
