My first surgery! she wants to leave one

So I go in for my appointment with the surgeon. we schedule for next week Friday January 22nd. She's going to take all of the right side of the large colon. Part of the small My appendix put a stent by my bladder. Maybe my gallbladder I can't remember.

I did ask most of the questions today. I can ask the rest tomorrow cuz I have to go back for pre surgery testing. Can someone tell me what pretesting surgery?

I have 3 Fistulas. She said she leave one. I think it was because of the location.But I would like it out Right?
I am anxious and excited for the surgery because, I Want to start the healing process!

Hi I pre testing usually involves taking your blood pressure, weight, blood samples etc. To see if you are fit enough for the surgery. Hope all goes well for you, best wishes 💕
 
I had an ECG in the pre-op assessment. Don't know if that's normal, but it was good to know my heart is working okay.:D Plus the nurse talked through what I'd have to do before and after surgery, and what I should bring to hospital - that sort of thing.

Hope it all goes well.
 
I saw the nurse and we did the paperwork and she told to do A slow bowel prep. She said The surgeon would take care office. I believe its only 2 What they would know better Once they are in. Thanks
 
Oh good luck with that stuff. Hate the prep drinks, like we dont suffer enough !!!. Hope all goes well.. :hug:

Presurgery testing is usually just a lot of blood tests. I think it's really important for you you get your questions answered before your surgery. I should ask as many times until you understand. Yes, it makes sense to ask for all of the fistulas to be removed, and if for some reason one can't be removed, then its important for you to understand why----so keep asking until you understand. I'm guessing the Dr meant gallbladder and not bladder, but maybe you should just make sure? Good luck with everything. Keep us updated.

Well the surgery is done I got it done later on Friday. I'm on morphine, Tylenol and some medicine and my belly what a drain. I can have ice chips I could suck on hard candy and chewing gum. Which is fine To another guy makes my belly feels better. But last night I had A crazy dream more Nightmare. The nurse came and woke me up and I forgot where I was For a couple minutes. I haven't pushed my button since early evening yesterday so I told the Attending Doctor that I didn't want that medicine anymore She said she did the surgeon around in about an hour. But now my penis By 8.
Can't seem to get Enough rest here and I've been getting up walking I walk four times yesterday and I sit in the chair for a long time I haven't had lots of visitors But the nurses come in a lot.
So I guess I'm just waiting for the healing And tomorrow No gas yet advert A few times and I cough some junk up a couple times That's about it no gas No pooping Go to bathroom a lot now you are giving me a lot of fluids in my IV And I was gonna get ice chips but now they give me a lot of fluid Something some supplement was really low and it gave me a bag of that I can't remember what it is. Please forgive me I liked it thinking clearly I try to catch all the mistakes in the Post but I may have missed some.
 
Hi glad you are all done and are doing well. I know it is tiring and sleep is a good thing, your body heals while you sleep as your at rest it can concentrate on the repair of your self. I hope all continues to go well.

Yeah !!!☺ good news things are on the up. Just try a little at a time dont feel you need to eat loads. Gently does it..
