my story of humira and pregnancy queries!!

hi everyone.

i was diagnosed with Crohns Colitis about 7 yrs ago after giving up smoking. i was given every drug under the sun and nothing worked. i then got CDif and had d&v for 8 weeks which nearly killed me! it aggravated my Colitis severely but i was cured from that with infliximab but wouldnt work again after another flare up. i was give Humira which didnt work at first so was on list for my colon to be removed (at only 30 i didnt want that!) Humira finally kicked in after several months and a daily dose of Black strap molasses.
i have been symptom free (apart from aches and pains) for nearly 2 years and told i will stay on Humira for life. my query is: is it safe during pregnancy???

Hi bumble and welcome! It's great news that you are feeling so well! And the most important thing for getting and being pregnant is for the mother to stay well. Active Crohn's is way worse for the baby than possible side effects of your treatment. But with that being said, only you can make the right decision for you and baby. So, do your homework.
