Dear Sirs,

My name is Igor and I am 30 years old and a citizen of Ukraine.

From June, 2008 and to December, 2008 I have noticed the following complaints: diarrheal syndrome (without blood, 6 times per day at average, maximum up to 10 times per day), tympanities, spastic pains throughout abdomen, hypothermia, asthenia, fatigability and extremities hypothermia. Performing of standard treatment (rigid diet and Mucofalk, Mezym, Galstena, Imodium, Enterol, Bifiform, and Citrargine) did not result in any sufficient and stable effect. During this period, I lost about 15 kg of body mass. After complete endoscopic examination together with biopsy, there was set the following diagnosis in according to opinion of Ukrainian doctors: Crohn’s disease (incipient stage), Gilbert’s disease, and biopsy results showed the most probable case of nonspecific ulcerative colitis.

I’m being performed the drug therapy during last two years: Salofalk in granules (Dr. Falk Pharma GmbH) 1000 mg ×4 times per day and Budenofalk since January, 01, 2009. My state is somewhat stable (shaped stool is up to 2-3 times per day at average, and periodical point pains in left and/or right iliac regions; weight-loss is stopped, and diet is enhanced); however, I fix occasionally recrudescence once per 8-14 days accompanied by pain increasing, intense meteorism, absence of appetite or bulimia, excrete of large quantities of poor-shaped stool together with mucus, and hypothermia. Such recrudescence appears at the back of treatment prescript, and is arrested by rigid diet and anti-inflammatory phytopreparations during 2-4 days.

Now I am keeping a diet including boiled food: porridges and meat, carrot, potato and sometimes pan-fried food and, of course, bread. I keep diary of food intake for discarding of those foodstuffs that irritate the intestine. Repeated doctors’ consultations together with performing of check analyses in dynamics had not challenged any changes in treatment approach.

There is the appendectomy together with localized peritonitis in the anamnesis (1989), after which there were fixed the long-lasting diarrheal syndrome, dysbacteriosis, and increased indices of liver function tests. The state had been gradually normalizing during 5-7 years; however, I had not been passed any adequate examination previously. I have not noticed any allergic reactions.

During this two years I try different alternatives treatment.
1. Treatments by psycho neurologist using different depressants.
2. Treatments from Vietnam: acupuncture and etc.

But But this could not help me.
I want to test TSO!

Hi Igor!

I'm SO SORRY your story didn't get any responses the first time you posted it :(

The TSO failed? That's too bad. I know you've done a lot of research on it. By the way, thank you for sharing all the research you've found, it's great!

How are you feeling these days? What medications are you on?

I wish you well!

Hi,
Thank you for the understanding!
I am currently on metronidasol + budenofalk + ciprofloksacin. This did not help well (daily diarrhea, weight loss, weakness). My doctor recommend me to start humira or\and metilpred. But I want to have a child that is why I suffer…. Looking for new treatments. And in addition in Ukraine our insurance did not cover such illness like IBD. So everything for own cost. That is why I have two jobs….

Salofalk, Sulfacalasin – failed

Igor,

I cant imagine how difficult it must be for you to pay for your own medical costs! That must be so very hard for you and your family. Is Module an elemental drink? In other words, is it specially made for people with gastic problems and malabsorption?

Kelly

Ok Modulen - I understand. I think it would be good for you to try Remicade or Humira. You said you are trying to have a child, and that is why you are waiting to try Humira. I have not researched if or how these treatments effect reproduction - have you? Can it harm the baby?
