It's been quite crazy in my household. We've done some house renovations in our 18 year old house these last couple of weeks. Our 2 bathrooms got new marble tile floors replacing the old laminant. Plus, one bathroom got a new toilet because one of the old ones had a crack in it. We also replaced the countertops in our kitchen with granite. Also, got a new granite sink along with a pull down sprayer tap along with a matching soap dispenser. It's all very beautiful now! But, a bit costly on the wallet!!!

My grandparents in MI aren't doing well. They're going down quick. My mom & her sisters are talking about having to put the two of them in a nursing home. Granny is bulimic & is skin and bones. She's throwing up after every meal and not healthy at all. Grandpa can't remember things along with anyone's names. His blood pressure is terribly high and not doing very well either. Found this update last night from my folks.

I've been teetering on a flare and it's been a bit stressful at work too. Just increased my Canasa to see if it'll help any. Hopefully we're catching it before it goes haywire as well. But, I'm still doing the best I can here and am thankful to have my husband here by my side. So, will pull through this all. Sending hugs to you all!

Hi Cross-stitch! May I just say I'm jealous of your bathroom renovations? My house is something like 60 years old, and we only have one bathroom and it's very ugly and in need of a complete overhaul. It's super tiny, and the current color scheme is pink, brown, and yellow (always makes me think of pee, poo, and pepto!). I have such a long wish list for when we finally get to remodel the bathroom! (Jacuzzi tub, heated toilet seat w/ bidet, heated floor, small flat-screen TV on a swivel mount so that I can see it from the tub or the toilet...) First though we need to build another bathroom - we're going to put one in our basement, so that we at least have a place to "go" while we're tearing apart our current bathroom. I hear you on the expenses, I don't know how we're going to afford building a bare-bones basement bathroom, let alone doing a nice remodel on our existing bathroom!

I'm sorry to hear about your grandparents not doing so well. Mine aren't doing so great either. My grandpa may not have his foot amputated after all, but still he can barely walk and is in a wheelchair 99% of the time - and I am worried my grandma might be in the early stages of Alzheimer's. So I can relate, it's scary when you can see them getting sicker and sicker but can't do anything about it. I hope that if your grandparents go to a nursing home, that it's a good one and they can thrive there rather than waste away. *Hugs!*

Yum,yum a pink, brown and yellow bathroom! Of course, I'm sure that 60 years ago that was the hit color theme. I hear ya on needing 2 bathrooms. Don't know what we'd do without our 2. It was quite a challenge when we only had the one. So, I totally feel for ya there!

Know what you're talking about with grandparents. Mom and her sisters have 3 homes in mind that they're looking into. Going to be a challenge getting the 2 of them to move. Granny might need to be sedated. Both are fighting the thought of moving. Right now I can't talk about it too much for the sake of crying. Just hope they make it through the holidays...
