I've been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease and also have some narrowing of the bowels due to scar tissue. Does anyone feel that that scar tissue and narrowing can lead to cramps or is more likely just the inflammation causing the cramping?

Hi there and welcome to the forum! I have had narrowing and it can be scar tissue from surgery or repeated flares building up to scarring. I can lead to cramps, bloat and worse of all blockage. The inflammation will cause pain too, food passes and causes the apin. Are you on any meds at the moment? You should tell us your history of your pre Crohns diagnosis, glad you found us.

Thank you for the welcome and the info. I'll tell my story soon for sure! I'm currently just on a low dose of pred but I'm heading to the GI on Friday because of a new flare so that's sure to change :(

Yep once you taper the crohns comes back. Pred is good in higher doses but alot of side effects come with it. You could talk to your doctor about Remicade or Humira.. better than surgery. Hope you get relief soon! Keep us posted.
