Does anyone use natural supplements in addition to medication? I have heard Tart Cherry is used to reduce inflammation and cranberry supplements are good also. Any thoughts?:sign0085:

I have tried tart cherry, among many other anti-inflammatory supplements, but I haven't noticed a direct benefit from it. Most whole food supplements, like tart cherry, probably need to be continually eaten (like at least 3 times daily) to exhibit SOME effect--just my opinion. However, the following list here definitely has directly positive effects FOR ME.

-1 or 2 Papaya enzymes chewed with big meals (I use NOW Brand)
-4 (2 in morning/2 dinner)enteric coated fish oil caps, 850 mg of actual omega3s each (Source Naturals Ultra Potency 120caps)
-2 or 3 drops (3x daily) of liquid paracasei/curvatis probiotics (livingstreamsmission.com) no refrigeration required
*-1 cap (3x a day)curcumin (NOW/Doctor's Best etc.)

*I would maybe chalk up the Curcumin up with a just-in-case, "it can't hurt", justification; because, though I may not notice immediate effects, there seems to be piles of good effects on the brain/liver/antioxidant/anti-inflammatory. I also notice that trace amounts of it survive the whole digestive tract, and, I think, this has a beneficial topical effect (like a natural pentasa etc.)--though I can't prove it.

Go to a big online retailer for good prices. Just some pointers.

I juice as a natural treatment. Check out why I think juicing is so beneficial here

I did take cranberry supplements at one point just to help heal my bladder because I had an early fistula forming and it did a little bit of damage. My bladder healed although I'm not sure if i can contribute that to the supplement or time.
