I've been on Aza for about a year now, I had a few side effects when I first started it, but I have only just started getting nausea this had been only going on for about a month, so I was just wondering what this would mean?? has anyone else had this?? :confused2:

My daughters been on Imuran for about 8 months and has recently started waking up with nausea. I spoke with the GI yesterday but he didn't seem too concerned about it.

Hopefully someone knows the answer.

It's just weird how it's only just come up, so yeah so I collapsed once after taking it and half the time I take it I do feel like I'm going to pass out anyway. Maybe I'm just being to cautious :ybatty:

What did your GI say about this when you told them and about the nausea?

It hasn't gotten better either so I'd give them a call back and talk about where to go from here.

I forgot to mention my daughter will be having and MRE because of other issues that are going on.

I hope you feel better soon..:ghug:

I had bad nausea when starting azathioprine, try dividing dose ... Say 50mg in morning and 50mg at night. It's hard for first few weeks but I got past it and been fine and only a couple of flares the last 2 years.

I def recommend this, I'm on 125mg and now take 50 in the morning and 75 before bed and it got rid of my nausea and headaches :)

I strated in 1 tablet for 2 weeks and I was fine, I then moved to 2 tablets a day (was the way my GI said to do it, apparently others do it differently). Since starting 2 tablets I'm feeling sick throughout the day on and off. I'm now taking 1 in the morning and one after my tea (evening meal) still feeling the same. I've only been on Aza for around a month now.

Note: also on Humira, been on it for around 2-3 months

Also experience hair loss :(
Other than that I feel okay lol

My son had like " morning sickness " every morning he was taking all of his aza at night we now split the dose 50 mg in morning and 35 mg at night and he has had no nausea since :) good luck , Wendy
