I don't know what's wrong with me this week. Been nauseous for three days now. It's just mild but still lingers. Only goes away when I eat, but if I eat too much or something that doesn't agree with me it is worse.

Started a day or so after getting a tickle/sore throat. Any ideas? Last time I flared my nausea was bad and couldn't keep anything down...do you think a flare is coming?

HI,

Every flare I have had has had different symptoms....so in this case its hard to say...
I would definitely keep a watch on whats happening physically for you....
You know what to do if you feel worse...go seee your doc/........

I know when I have a cold, swallowing all the mucous from the cold can cause nausea on an empty stomach. You mentioned a sore throat. Are you also having phlegm?

Teeny,
I know this is not the answer you may have been hoping for, but I think, to some degee, you will like it.

I too have been having the same symptoms for the past several months. It only goes away with eating too. Thankfully I have not been flaring so if its the same as me, I don't think its the beginning of a flare.

I spoke to my doctor a few weeks after it started because I was getting nervious (after being in denial) and he said its pretty normal and nothing to worry about - said it was acid relux, something that is common for CD. He gave me some meds that I take when it doesn't go away after eating. Its a prescription stregnth Prilosac. Its been working for me.

Hope you feel better and are a little calmer.

I don't have phlegm at all. I am taking Prilosec already I hope I don't have to up meds or add more! I'll just have to wait and see I guess.

I get periods of nausea as well, but they usually do not last more than a week or so, I also get nausea when I am flaring too.

Hi Teeny - try not to panic! Nausea can come and go for many of us for no reason at all it seems, so hopefully it's not an indication that you are going to flare.

In the meantime, many people have good results with ginger tablets to combat nausea. I sometimes use motion sickness pills, like Dramamine, but careful - they can make you seriously tired!

Good luck - hope it turns out to be nothing serious! - Amy
