So , i am hoping, fingers and toes crossed that i will get in to see a GI within a few weeks. Been almost 4 since my referal went in....heading to my local NP and she is really great at pushing these appts through for me.

Now i am sitting here thinking, what do i ask???? I want to amke the most of my appt since i know they are so far apart. And the GI is amost 3 hrs from me, so not like i can just hop in the truck and run down to see him.

So all of you that maybe have some experience or those of you that are new to this as well, what should i be asking??????

i want to ask about the pain, my fistulas, my diet.....????

Can you help????

Hello there,

You should tell your doctor about all locations you feel pain in and other symptoms you are having. If you have any concern or side effect about your current medication plan or if it isn't working at all or as it should be you should let him know. If you have fistulas you should ask him to assess its healing progress. Ask for his opinion about the best diet to follow in your case and tell him what is comfortable to eat and what is not. Try to write down your questions if it will make it easier to remember in your GI visit. I hope you feel better soon and keep us updated :)
