Tomorrow i have a CT enterography with PO and IV contrast @ 12:34pm and im getting nerves because i'm been hurting on my right side. It was on my lower right but now its all over. I've been having mini flares every month and this last one been here since 17-may. I saw my GI and he is worried and that makes me scared. The thing that i am nerves about is what happens if they don't find anything!? That's my worst Fear. Then i will lose my mind and not want to fight or go to another doctor.

The Symptoms im having is Fevers, a weebit of chills but mainly feel really hot. My eye sight is foggy and hard to see things. (I never had Glasses) I know that when my eyes start to go i think back to 2009 when i started to get rashes and eyes problems so im getting worried. When i press lightly it hurts sooo bad. I'm trying to feel around to see if i can make it out but its hard. I'm trying to see what like an abscess or fistulas feel like (yeah i had them both but i couldn't really tell what it felt like because i was to busy throwing up) My stool has been runny and the colors run to black/brown, green/yellow, yellow/brown. For a week and a half I've been on yogurt, pudding, and protein shakes, but i have not been eating anything because i just can't swallow anything. Like when i was eating regular food I've eaten some of it but randomly i just can't eat anymore... and i just started eating.

I'm trying to stay Positive but i dunno how i can when i am deadly scared :frown:

I've been told that its nothing to be worried about but i just can't help it.

Best of luck tomorrow, I know you're scared, but you have dealt with flares and problems in the past and you will fight on. Its a positive step having these scans. These things make us stronger!
Sending positive thoughts and best wishes to you, keep us updated x

Hi there,
Do not worry about this procedure as it is not an invasive one. Remember, it is taking you to a better diagnosis. When the right treatment is found you will feel a lot better. I get sore and blood-shot eyes with Crohns: I believe it goes with the illness. Wishing you well again soon. Thinking of you, let me know how you are.

I get the eye problems when i start to flare and then my fingers start to swell.

Best of luck tomorrow!! Have they said why they are doing a CT scan as oppose to an MRI/MRE? A CT scan has radiation. They are clearer and more available for emergencies but generally they will use an MRE if they can.

My son has had both. Just know that even if the CT scan does come up clear, that does not mean that there is nothing wrong with you and they should not stop investigating your symptoms. It is one piece of the puzzle. Hopefully it will give you the answers you need but if not don't lose heart and keeping fighting to figure this out. My son was diagnosed about 2 months after his CT and once we got treatment he has been so much better.

(((((Hugs))))) and let us know how things go tomorrow!

Thanks, its just hard knowing that there's a 50% chance there's nothing or there's something. My CT went okay i guess... I had to Drink 3 of this salty fruity drink that smelled horrible. I only got 2 1/2 down i was crying to tell you the truth which i was embarrassed because there was 3 people in the waiting area. It took 1 hour then i went to get my CT done. In the past i had a blood clot in my left arm because i step on it while running to the bathroom it came out 16cm and then after my surgery it swelled up. I had 3 blood clots. it took 2 years for it to go away. it left me with tons of veins showing from my upper arm to my chest. anyways the lady had to put a needle in my left arm because there were tons of veins, so now there's a huge purple area and my left arm is hurting like Heck. I hope that wont led to another blood clot.

Hi,
How are you, hope the scan went ok?

I'm okay hanging in there. It went i would say horrible like the drink they gave me was nasty it was like the flavored ones like Bananas or what not it was like water with salt and a Fruity smell to it. The lady had to stick a needle in me arm and it was the arm with the used to be blood clots. My arm is still big but didn't hurt til now. I'm just hoping that there wont be another blood clot

You poor thing!
Lets just hope its bruising, and not a clot.
You've done it though, you've had the scan! It doesn't matter that there were tears, the people in the waiting room don't know your history or stress, it doesn't matter!
I bet they would have liked to have given you a big hug.
Give yourself a pat on the back, you've done good, you are unbelievably strong! x
