Been hurting for a little over a week. I was diagnosed with Crohn's in May. In hospital then bc I had abscess in small intestine. Cipro and flagyl fixed it, then started remicade, seemed to be helping. My 4th one is supposed to be tomorrow.

Anyways. Been hurting. Figured I ate done thing bad, I'm still learning. Didn't go away. So I called dr, can't get in with him till next week. He did give me tramadol and prednisone. 3 days ago, pain got worse. Had fever of 103 ( been checking all week but that was first fever) and came to hospital. Fever and heart rate high ( 176) and bp low ( 70/42) they admitted me. Been here 3 days. On a steroid ( not prednisone) cipro and flagyl. It really helped for a bit. Then I started throwing up. Figured it was all meds, no food ( liquid diet) starting feel much better! Pain meds are dilauded. I still feel better. Thing is, they did chest deaf, which was good, ct scan, which showed two fistulas in intestine, and checked my anal area ( I have fistulas there) which also was improving. They did notice a small amount of infection in my urine. Trying to figure out where it came from: and heart rate and bp keep fluctuating. Was great yesterday, last night super low ( hr in 40s.) I didn't sleep but probably for an hour last tonight. I was freezing, then too hot, then hurting, then I had some diarrheah. Was the first time though since coming in. So they testing it for C-Diff bacteria. Just to be sure. But my nurse said that c-Diff has a VERY strong smell, and that most people can diagnose it just by that. Mine didn't smell bad. Only had it twice. But they still checking it. I'm glad. I felt great until I had lunch yesterday ( they let me have a small any of bbq. Not spicy) So hoping it's just that. They ordered it yesterday, but Still no MRI. They want to check my anal fistulas closer for infection. Still no word about c-diff, BUT if I do have it. I'm already taking the antibiotic they prescribe for it. I'm just nervous. Scared about something being wrong with my heart. They seem to think with other symptoms it's just infection. This is my first flare up since being diagnosed. They also doing MRI to check to see if I have uti. Since they did see infection in urine. But they said even if I did, it may not show up since I've already been on meds for 3 days. I just wanna go home. Wanna be with my husband and 2 year old baby girl :( Anyone have any advice? Been through something similar? Sorry for any typos. I'm writing this on pain meds.

Oh god you are in the wars. I hope you feel better and they can safely let you home soon. I cant really help with the heart rate as i have a heart condition anyway, but i do notice a flare up makes my heart rate go very high. But i can see why there keeping you in with such low blood pressure as well. Try to make sure you dont get dehydrated what with your sickness etc. Get well soon.

I can't offer advice either, but just wanted to send support.I know you want to go home to your family, but you seem to be quite poorly,so you must know you're better off where you are for now.Sending you hugs and hope that you will feel better soon.

I ended up having C-diff and an infection due to an abscess in my colon. Feeling better now and after 6 days I'm out of the hospital. The infections were causing my fever, which was causing the heart rate spikes. Feeling much better now. Still have a few days left on prednisone and antibiotics.

I'm happy to hear you're home and I bet your little one is too (and your hubby of course).
Take it easy though and continue to feel better.
