Nestlé Impact pre op?

My surgeon has advised me to drink Neatle Impact a couple days before my operation. Anyone have any experience with this product? I checked the ingredients and noted maltodextrin and carageenan, which I try to avoid due to reportedly being bad for CD. Any how, here are the ingredients:

Water, Maltodextrin, Sodium Caseinate (from Milk), Palm Kernel Oil, L-Arginine, Calcium Caseinate, Refined Fish Oil (Anchovy, Sardine), and less than 1% of Citric Acid, High Linoleic Safflower Oil, Magnesium Chloride, Potassium Citrate, Calcium Phosphate, Sodium Citrate, Yeast Extract, Cellulose Gel, Hydroxylated Soy Lecithin, Potassium Chloride, Potassium Phosphate, High Oleic Sunflower Oil, Sodium Ascorbate, Choline Chloride, Carrageenan, Cellulose Gum, Alpha-Tocopheryl Acetate, Zinc Sulfate, Ferrous Sulfate, Niacinamide, Vitamin A Palmitate, Copper Gluconate, Calcium Pantothenate, Vitamin D3, Manganese Sulfate, Thiamine Hydrochloride, Beta Carotene, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin, Folic Acid, Chromium Chloride, Sodium Molybdate, Biotin, Sodium Selenite, Potassium Iodide, Phytonadione, Vitamin B12.

Yes, they said specifically that they find that the patients recuperate quicker from the surgeries.

When I looked this product up on line, it indicated that it helps to prevent infections for patients undergoing surgery, so the emphasis is a little different, but still aimed at patient well-being when undergoing surgery.

I have Modulen IBD from Nestle at my home and the ingredient list seemed pretty much the same, so I was hesitant to buy it.
