Hello my name is Rochele and I am 24, and I am currently undiagnosed but I have had problems for about 5years now. Currently i have been experiencing some very embarrassing problems. Like i said i have had problems for about 5 years but this current problem just started about a week to 2 weeks ago. I had gone to a med express for throat inflammation, and was prescribed clyindamycn approx 2 1/2 weeks ago and took it for a week when i noticed i started getting diharrea-"D" . I stopped taking the antibiotic and my bowels started moving more frequently and it has been D every time. Downfall ...of course i am a CNA in a hospital. I do have knowledge of c diff and i am very cautious at work but with the antibiotic i am more concerned the i have c diff now more than ever... and i will post later about my concerns of Crohn's. But if anyone has any input on this i would greatly appreciate it!!!! Thank you

Hi, most inflamatory bowel disorders don't react well to antibiotics, I have had suspected CDIFF when on antibiotics in an hospital enviroment, stop using med express and get a proper diagnosis
:)

Hey I understand your concern.. for a while I was convinced a round of cipro CAUSED my crohn's because that was when everything started, I got bad D which I attributed to the antis, and all my crohn's symptoms came after that. But what it really was was my first flare up, that may have been aggravated by the antis. And yes, you should really go and get checked out:)

Hi Rochele and welcome to the community. It makes sense to be tested for c.diff after the antibiotic usage. Though hopefully it is something a little more acute.

What have your problems been for the last five years?
