Hi everyone!

My name is Jeff, and I'm a 28 year old with Crohn's. Diagnosed 10 years ago in 1999, I've been on almost every treatment with varying success. Hospitalized twice, surgery once.

I've been on Methotrexate, 6-MP, Remicaide, Prednisone, 5-ASA, Entocort, and various probiotics and holistic treatments, including the Resolve Colitis mineral treatment.

I was on Humira recently (with great effect) but my insurance has refused to pay for it anymore, so I'm having a bit of trouble.

I'm looking at LDN or some other therapy to try to get under control.

Currently I'm in a bad flare -- for the past two nights, I've gotten out of bed to discover that I've completely mess all over myself, but have no recollection as to when or how (I wasn't asleep when I made the mess).

Going in for a social security hearing on Wednesday to try and get some health benefits -- even though I've been doing this for 10 years, I feel like I really don't have a grip on what's going on.

It's nice to be here and I hope I can learn and share with all of you.

:welcome:

I have been thinking of going in to apply for social security lately. I thought I could get this under control sooner than I have but things are not looking so good. I can relate to not having a grip on this, its only been a little over a year since being diagnosed but I blame the 8 years before that of Dr's brushing it off as nothing making it get so out of control. On entocort I thought I had control, but that stuff is really expencive! Glad to see you found us, I know from being here for only a short time that all of us are different in alot of ways so you will have no problem fitting in here, learning from us and sharing / helping us. :)
