I have over the last few days developed a new issue. Every night without fail, approx. 4-6 hours after dinner i get horribly bloated, to the point where it feels like i can feel movement under the skin in my upper right just below my ribs, culminating in my vomiting my dinner in mostly undigested pieces.
This is new. I am calling my general doc monday morning since i cant see the new gastro till Nov 7. But has anyone experienced anything like this? Is this crohns? medication? or some other random thing (such as side effect of the pyloric stenosis for example)

I wish I had more answers for you. All I can't tell you is that when I have SBOs, that's just about the timing of it. Onset is always around bedtime for me, with bloating and increasing pressure that only relieves with vomiting. I'm not even actually nauseous, it's really just the pressure.

Thats kind of my concern :/
It is almost as if the stomach is unable to empty properly and after a while my body simply decides to eject some things to make room.

Last night for example, i lost part of my lunch... recognizable... almost 12 hours after I had eaten it, which seems weird to me since I thought it should have moved out of my stomach by then.

Having food stay in your stomach for a long time could be from gastroparesis:

Will bring that question up with primary though I suspect he will defer to the gastro for that as well, which sucks since my appt isnt till november. I wonder if at least some kind of anti-nausea would be appropriate till then :(

In the UK there are some anti-nausea meds which you can buy without needing a doctor's prescription: Buccastem (prochlorperazine), and buclizine, which comes combined with paracetamol and codeine in Migraleve pills. They may be available where you are.

You might want to call your GI's office and speak to your doc's medical assistant. They might be able to offer you a sooner appointment for acute care, do a brief phone consult, or put you on a list to be called last-minute if another appointment cancels.

Thats a really good idea. will add that to my calls to make on monday

i had persistent vomiting - always about 4 hours after eating and often still recognizable. For months this went on while doctors insisted it was nothing big. Ended up in the hospital with a blockage and emergency surgery. Please ask them for a CT to check for a stricture. Good luck.

Have appt with my GP tomorrow.... GI says they have put me on the list to call if there is a cancellation or something but otherwise... 7 Nov. *ugh*

in the meantime, I suggest smaller meals throughout the day instead of big meals, and lots of chewing (bring it to a soup in mouth) before swallowing. i wouldnt hesitate to go to the ER if symptoms persists or intensify in the meantime of your appointment or test.

Saw primary today
He says yes its abnormal, but oculd be stomach or intestines and need to see gastro

recommended acid reducer so it doesnt damage my esophagus and throat and suggested ensure shakes til my november 7 gastro appt
