hey everyone i 'am new at this. i was diagnosed in april 08. I had surgery to remove 8 inches of my colon due to a stricture. i tried remicade and got nowhere. i had so much scar. tissue that the remicade couldn't get through. the surgeon advised me to never get on remicade again. my hair fell out my neck was hurting and i really felt ill all the time i have constant back and neck pain i'm told all this is a result of the disease. yeah me my b-12 is ok finally iron seems to stay low and is it just me or do you seem to have alot of anxiety with this disease?:ybatty:

Hi there welcome to the forum! Surgery is not fun and when scar tissue builds up again, the pain can be worse. I didnt stay on Remicade long, I was allergic and Humira didnt work either. Anxiety is a major problem with this disease but being here and learning from others and trying to stay positive helps. Everyone has it from time to time. Glad you are here, lots of people to support you here! Hang in there!

I thought Remi was administered IV. What does it mean it couldn't get through? After all you've been through, you deserve to be anxious. Reading what others say on here will help relieve some of that anxiety. Good luck Shoob.

Hey Mark! I thought that too!

Hi Shoobzl
and welcome

Yes we all get anxiety, but this will/may exacerbate your symptoms. Hopefully, making friends here and sharing can eleviate your worries, have a scoot round the forum threads on treatments and diet and get as much info on other meds as you can, there are lots of alternatives.
glad you found us, lots of support here
lotsa luv

Hi,

I think its quite natural to get quite anxious at stages in life living with this disease because so much is unknown especially with medication and treating flares can be so long and frustrating to find the next thing that works. I have started to try to stop worrying about the future at the moment and take one day at a time. Im finding that helps a lot. Most importantly your already doing the best thing you can...and thats by taking to the people on here because they are all wonderful.

Hang in there xx
