I recently found out I have crohns. I have not been to the gastroenterologist yet, January 25th. I'm taking medictation at this time. I'm having a little trouble figuring out this disease. It appears that eating very small portions of food is the trick to avoid backup. I feel so hungry that I just start eating and can't seem to stop after a few bites. I am taking Miralax to try and clean out, I'm having some pain right now. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi and welcome.

Crohn's can affect people in different ways depending on severity and location. The GI visit will help clear up a lot of questions. I'd suggest keeping a daily journal of symptoms and question so you don't forget anything.

Edit: check out the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. Ccfa.com(?)
Lots of good information there.

I'm recently diagnosed too & it's a bit of struggle to come to terms with everything but I've only been on this forum for a few days & I found some of the info on here a great help & I'll admit I was a bit sceptical about joining but I'm glad I did, take some time to read some of the many threads/posts on here like I have & I'm sure you'll find plenty of tips,
I've gone down the same route as you by eating little & often & although it did take a few days of hunger initially it has settled so try & stick with it

Hello and welcome. It's overwhelming at first, but you will learn what's right for YOU.
We're all different ie: symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, meds., diet, etc.
It's not a good idea to take in to many posts just yet, until you've seen you're G.I.
That could really stress you out.It is a good idea to make a list of symptoms and questions for your appointment,as has been advised. Please keep us updated.
I hope you feel better very soon.
