I been lurking in this forum for some time. More so lately than before. This is my first time posting as I can't hardly stand this anymore.
First let me say that I have no medical care except the hospital. I can't work so I can't afford insurance. Trying to get disability. I can't get on Medicaid because I have a drug trafficking charge.
The abscess really started in February. I would have this pain in my butt that felt like there was a balloon up there. Started out as just uncorftable but by the beginning of April, it hurt to sit. I went to the hospital for a acute bowel obstruction the doc came back with the Mri results and said I had a mass and he is admitting me and going to have the surgeon see me. The next day I had the abscess drained. Didn't even know what it was until they took me into the operating room. It only hurt mildly and only when I sat down but after the surgery omg the pain. (Now I been living with crohns for the last 14 years, I'm 25 now and never been in pain meds, I got a high tolerance to pain but the abscess was horrible after the surgery. I got some Percs and was sent home.about a week later, the day after my checkup with the surgeon and had the seton removed, I started having fecal matter, poop, come out of the abscess drainage. I freaked and called the surgeon he told me " I just saw you and nothing was wrong" so I went to the ER cuz something was definitely wrong. Got admitted and found out I have a fistula. They just kept for for a few days to watch for infection and told me to see the surgeon. I went to the surgeon and he was pissed that I went to the ER. He ended up telling me at the end of that visit that he won't be seeing me again. But I had a apiontments for Thursday. Well Tuesday the pain was so unbearable my mom called the surgeon and asked him if we should go to the ER or wait till the next apiontment on Thursday. The surgeon told my mom to not bring me, that I wouldn't be seen. So she took me to the ER and they said I have to see the surgeon, nothing that they can do for me so we told them what the surgeon said. The ER doc called the surgeon and the surgeon told them I was lying and I cancelled my apiontments. I was sent directly home.
Now a month later I the original abscess that formed the fistula is back, this time it is angry. Super swollen butt check. Making my skin red and some bruising. Fistula still drains, sometimes fecal matter. But now I got another abscess between my butthole and balls. A really bad spot. I finally went to the ER about it and they sent me home. The two docs that looked at me both said that they feel for me and I definitely need help but they don't want to drain the abscesses because I've already got a fistula so they sent me home without running any tests or seeing a gastro or surgeon.
Now here I am. 2 big abscesses and a fistula that I can't find anyone to help me with. I'm in constant pain with no energy. All I do is lay around because that's all I can do. Taking a shower takes all my energy. I only eat 1 very small meal and a snack a day, if I even eat because when I do it hurts so bad. I can't poop without some poop and gas coming through the fistula and that hurts like crazy, plus I got multiple fissures and angry skin tags. My stepdad is about to kick me out cuz I don't do anything and he doesn't understand. I have no where to go.
Every where I try to get help I get turned down because of money, my criminal record or just because they don't want to deal with me.
I see in here that allot of you go years with this before it heals and you have money and/or insurance to get treatment. I do not so I'll probably live like this forever.
I don't know how much longer I can go on like this... I'm ready to just end it all right now but I don't have the balls yet...
