Glad I found this site I was diagnosed almost a year ago after emergency surgery revealed many perforations in my small intestine. My stomach looked like I was 4 months preggo.:yfaint:

Oh boy, you poor thing! How are you doing these days? What medication are you taking?

Based on your name, I assume you are a teacher? I used to teach 7th grade English, and there are several other teachers on the forum.

I am also a teacher...how did the surgery serve you?

I'm currently on Humira injections; one every other week. I also take omeprazole daily. For a long time I was on iron supplements and B12 shots, but I got tired of buying the B12 and don't do it anymore. The doc hasn't noticed lower levels of it in my system so I guess it's okay. I do teach, but not in the classroom anymore. I'm the reading specialist and have small groups of children for 30min. intervals all during the day. I'm not sure I could be in the classroom again since I run to the bathroom 4-6 times daily. Having the small groups coming and going offers the opportunity for me to run to the bathroom in between groups. It's definitely a challenge.
