I've been fighting Crohn's for a couple years now (was found July 2004) just after my high-school senior year. I've made it through college and into a career and things seem to be holding together steady. I've seen a few different doctor's and have some experiences that I might be able to share to help others. Also looking to learn from other people.

Hello Everyone!

Hi MCS, welcome! I see you are on Entocort, so am I and pentasa, back to the original drugs from 17 years ago. I also see you are on LDN , how did you find out about it? There are a few who swear by it and some didnt do well on it.

Hope you are well, glad you could join in, lots of friendly people from all over the world here.

I work in the IT field... honestly I found out about it from online. A couple links that lead to Penn State University where they were doing research on it. I eventually landed on the low dose naltrexone main web site. I had heard many good things about it and figured it was worth a shot.

My holistic doc has patients that were on it for MS and I think he had one or two Crohn's patients that were as well. My gums in my mouth were never pink (part of the whole crohn's thing I think). I noticed after I started taking LDN they were becoming more of a pink'ish color.

I can't swear by it just yet, but I think it is totally helping me in one way, shape, or form.

Pentasa did not agree with me but I was originally put on it.

Welcome MCS, I too found out right after senior break. But that was 16 years ago for me.
