I guess a little about me...I was diagnosed with U-Colitis about 15 years about, came on so fast that I lost almost 70 pounds in just over 2 months, my colon looked like I had Colitis for about 10 years when it was only about 10 months...I had the Ileostomy bag for a year, then got the reverse so now it is internal...during that year I had it done in 3 surgeries since I was so weak they had to spread it over...after 1 surgery I almost bled to death when a staple inside me cut a vein, then a week after that my pouch inside twisted (still the doctors had no idea how either happened)...after my colon got remove, they noticed the part left had Crohns (cannot buy a break)
Since all of this, I have been on different things, including Remicade for a few years and now taking Humeria 2x a week, but out of everything I have tried medically, the thing that is keeping me living a normal life is a simple 325mg iron pill once a day...before I could not walk more then 5 feet without getting tired, but it has kept me active and living a normal life (as well as anyone with Crohn's can)
So hello to all and wishing everyone well and to remember to try to enjoy life as much as possible.
