Hey guys, I'm toally new to this site. I just stumbled upon it accidentally. Never knew anything like this existed so am pretty chuffed! I'm hoping to chat to some people and maybe make some new buddies. If anyone can help me navigate this damned thing I'd be really grateful! I have Crohn's, been diagnosed 7 years now and I'm a tax dodging student in my 3rd year studying law... Hope to hear from you soon. Take care!! xxx:confused2:

hi susie, and welcome :)

the forum's pretty easy to navigate - if you click on 'crohns disease forums' at the top left of your screen, you'll see all the different forums, click on one to see the threads within. when i log in here each day, i click on 'quick links' then 'today's posts' to see any new threads/posts since my last visit. feel free to yell if theres anything else you need to know.. everyone on here is lovely & helpful :)

Hi!! Welcome!
I only joined about a year ago, i never knew it was here - would have been rather helpful at times! lol! Ive been diagnosed 6 years and im also a tax dodging student in my 2nd year. Although due to crohns ive had to repeat 2 years (one at college and one at uni) So im 22.
I'm at lincoln uni, i study Equine Sport Science (which is basically lots of stuff about horses, and involves a fair bit of riding)
Well, nice to meet you....theres loads of existing posts on here which cover pretty much everything, which are handy to browse.
Enjoy!

Chuffed? Definition please for the guy in the boonies. Boonies means remote wilderness or something like that.

Welcome to the forum.

Dan

Ha ha ha ha Dan, chuffed means very pleased.

Hiya Susie, good to see you here. Like all of us you have stumbled onto the site and very welcome you are too. I am back at uni trying to finish an honours degree whilst working full time and it aint funny at the mo I can tell you.

Looking forward to seeing you posting more. Feel free to contribute or ask what you like.

Welcome again!

Hi Susie... Welcome to the forum.... Wait a mo, you say you are studying law... Does that mean you are planning to become a lawyer (barrister/solicter)??? I may have to rescind my welcome.... Eeeeyuh, 'lawyers'... OK. kidding (slightly) ;-)

Hmmmm, studying to become a 'lawyer' (barrister/solicter.. whatever) AND also 'dodging taxes'... Why am I not surprised? OK, had my post divorce/custody battle 'vent' out of the way... Really, all kidding aside, welcome Susie...

Hi Susie, and welcome. Hope the sites helps you with any worries/problems you may have now or in the future. It's not all doom and gloom though, this really is a community of people who know how to keep the 'disease' light hearted whilst never undermining its severity.

Good luck with the degree.

Thanks guys, I forgot my password cos idiot that I am I forgot to write it down and had exams in the meantime so this is just me getting back to you all. Thank you for all the very kind words of welcome, it's very nice to know of other people out there with Crohn's.

Um, the word chuffed means happy,"I'm fair chuffed with myself!" Me being a Scottish lass means I'm always using local slang. As for the lawyer hater, we ain't all horrible!!! Well I'm not anyway.:) I want to get into environmental law and will be paying pretty steep taxes when I do! Haha! Anyways feel free to drop me a line, have a chat, heckle me some more......I can take it!

Anyway, thank you all again. Speak soon! xxx

Remember, you asked for it.

It was so cold here this winter, some of the Lawyers had their hands in their own pockets.

I have never heckled a Scottish Lass before. It almost sounds immoral.

Dan

Mwah hahaha haha! Never heard that one before but is that the best you can do?!?!

No, I have a few of them, but they are pretty nasty. It's not a good idea to provoke a lawyer.

I wish you luck in your studies.

Dan

you have crohns and can stand horse riding?
today you are my hero! there is hope for us!

hey Susie,
i'm only new here as well, but welcome, it seems like a great website!

Don't say "only new" like you're lower on the Crohns Forum Food Chain. The only chain of command here is that the colon rules all of what we do and say. :)

Yes your supreme commander Sir Colon, right away sir.

i'm heartbroken now. i've had most of my colon stolen. can i follow the rules of something else instead?

lol

I think if Sir Colon is not able to perform his duty as commander in chief, the second of command Secretary Bowel assumes command. But, I may have the chain of command mixed up. I am not a military expert.

Dan

ah thanks Dan, yes i'm not surprised to learn that Secretary Bowel likes to play boss... in my opinion she's far too attention seeking, very noisy, and full of hot air, but its good to know who's in charge! :D

Hmmm, I thought the chain of command was reversed... that Major Rectum had a say in things... and isnt' Colonel Colon above him, or below him? I guess I don't know which end is up... I'm just glad my privates aren't in the line of fire
