Hi from Melbourne, Australia. I was diagnosed two weeks ago after initially complaining to GP about sudden onset food intolerances - onions, garlic etc.
After some resistance to gas/col test, and to cut a long story short, I was diagnosed with Crohn's.
Post MRI and more bloods, thankfully I'm at the milder end of the spectrum.
Am starting my meds today - bit worried about side effects this close to Christmas but opted for the gut-specific steroids despite the enormous price tag! In Australia, they cost $130 a course but better than the effects of prednisone I think.
Anyway just wanted to say hello and thanks for building a community where us newbies feel comfortable asking and sharing advice.
