...I've suffered for years with "stomach bouts" and after a period of about 7 years of no insurance and attending to only issues in an emergency room, I finally have coverage and a bout so bad I had no choice but to go.. Finally, a colonoscopy (had one with minor inflammation and polyps years ago, a few inflamed spots, was told I had Crohn's but then later retracted by the MD). This looked totally different, I was horrified and frightened a bit. The doctor said I had Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis and I was instructed to take Asacol 3 times a day, 4 pills each time. This has helped but at a follow up, another Gastroenterologist says he wants to start me on Humira but wants to do a CT (because of continues positive for blood UA's not responding to Antibiotics, etc) and once that happens he finds an incidental adrenal lesion and says yet after the Prometheus that he doesn't think it's Crohn's after all. Now once again, I am wondering after "multiple biopsies" during the colonoscopy revealing moderate and severe inflammation, but negative results on the IBD7...I am left very frustrated and feels like I'm starting all over again....it sounds like power for the course, almost - has anyone else had this type of conflicting information?
