Hi Everyone. I had my endoscopy and colonoscopy last Thursday. They confirmed that I had stomach inflammation and that I had either UC or CD. Well, after all of the diarrhea from the cleanse, I haven't been feeling great. My stomach has been bothering me so I haven't been eating much. I hadn't gone since friday and after I ate a little lunch yesterday, my stomach pain was teribble. Had nausea too. I went a little but it was a hard little one that looked like I ate 2 different play-doh's. The constipation was terrible and my left lower back is killing me. I called the GI's office to see what I could take to help ease the pain and nausea. They confirmed that I do have Crohn's. I have been suffering from alternating diarrhea and constipation, muscle/joint pain, canker sores, eye pain, feeling fluish, chronic fatigue, etc. for probably 25 years or so. I also found out that I have high cholesterol. On friday I started prozac, adderall and provostatin. This morning I added 4 Lialda and Juice Plus to the mix. I have to completely change my diet. It has to be low cholesterol and also what are the the the foods that aggravate Crohn's. I find the info in that regard to be vague since they say everyone is different. I'm not underweight. I could stand to lose 20-30 from my last child who is now almost 15 months. Any help in the diet and supplement area would be fabulous. I can go a week with out going and then have a blow out. I go for my small intestine xray series tomorrow. Not looking forward to the barium. Ugh! Then Friday I will go get my prometheus test done. It's nice to know that I'm not a hypochondriac or just a complainer. It finally has a name. I'm sure everyone has felt that way at one point. Looking forward to feeling better!:thumright:

Hi cdunham,

Welcome to the forum. I am sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with IBD but at least as you said what you are going through finally has a name and has been validated by a Doctor.

You should look through the IBD Diet and Fitness sub forum for an idea of what foods are generally better tolerated by people with IBD. Typically foods that are harder to digest (spicy food, nuts/seeds, corn, wholewheat) are not well tolerated.

Greetings and welcome! Yes, I think many of us have been called a complainer or hypochondriac at some point during our diagnosis journey. Or we would get that look from the doctors since, because they didn't know what we had, it had to be in our heads. So I'm glad you finally got a diagnosis and can hopefully get in remission soon!

I look forward to seeing you on the forums :)

*hugs*
