Well, during my adventure to diagnosis... which is still not official. I had a small bowel follow through 12/24/09 and it came back normal. So I am waiting for my doctor to order the video endoscopy. I am having a really hard time grasping if this is real or not. I have not been taking the Penasa because I really feel fine and the doctor is not sure yet (he wants me to take it). I have 2 Cat Scans with extreme swelling and pain, positive blood test Asca(?) but not off the charts by any means low end of positive and normal colonoscopy, upper endoscopy and normal sbft. What should I do? I am feeling like I should just live life and see if it happens again. Any suggestions?

Hmmm, something must have made you start the diagnosis process in the first place, so I'd keep doing what the doctors say!

I'm not sure, but i think the video endoscopy gives the best picture of what's really going on....It's also one of the least invasive, i believe. I would go with it, and if nothing shows from that, then wait and see?

I agree with Tam -if you aren't symptomatic at present - I bet the endo cam isn't going to show a whole lot. Did they give you a round of prednisone or something when the inflammation showed up before? Just wondering what would have made that suddenly go away. If the endo cam comes back negative, and you have *no* symptoms, I might do just what you said and live life and see if it happens again.
