Does anyone get night sweats. I get then around my neck at night alot. I am 41 and just had a D and C, ablation and polyp removal because I have severe endometrosis. I dont know where these night sweats are coming from.

For me the night sweats indicate aggressive fistulizing and sever inflammation of my bowel. It is a natural response to a crohns attack. It is the very first thing healthcare people ask me about when ever I go in. "Have you been having any more fever or Night sweats" If I did I would be on the phone with the GI office the next morning.

I am a 43 year old male so the whole menopause thing is rather unlikely in my case. Thank the stars for small favors

I get them as well Mary - but can't necessarily pin them to active disease as I can get them when I am having no GI issues whatsoever - so they may just be related to your age. I usually get sweaty around my neck and chest and upper back area, annoying, but not horrible. Try not to worry- just bring it up to your doc next time you see them. Probably nothing at all.

Thats were I get them too.

When I was really flaring last year and on a high dose of Remicade I got them all the time, lots of fevers too.

Since I stopped Remicade and went back on Pred that all stopped.

I used to get them when I was first diagnosed and was in a full on flare. It was bad, I would literaly wake up in a puddle of sweat, a few times a nite! It sucked, but once I got my CD under control havent had any problems.

If you are on pred that might be the cause of the sweats, I think it is one of the side effects of steroids.

I do, i wake up sweating most nights, and i don't typically run a fever. And i'm 27, so i don't attribute it to menopause stuff. :p

I get night sweats too, wake up with a clammy neck and my bed clothes are damp around my neck and back. Also in the day I get really bad hot flushes and have to strip off most of my layers if I can!

I am on Pred and I think it is related to taking them.

Doesn't happen to me most nights but enough to notice. I'm a 27 year old female so no menopause here either. I'm also not on prednisone or taking any crohns medication for that matter and as far as I'm aware, I'm in remission.

I think it's a normal thing that happens to everyone. If it's an extremely common occurrence and it's affecting your life then I'd get it checked out.

Me too. Was so bad that it was like just stepping out of the shower. I'd have to go towel off while Janis changed the sheets. Would happen a few times a night. Really bad when I was on Pred, but still had them when off, also.

At least it wasn't what Janis accused me of the first time it happened. LOL
