Reading,
Last night, I got woken at about 2.00 am and noticed I had a text. It was my housemate saying the shower was leaking and she didnt know what to do.
So I went into the bathroom and there was a load of water coming out of the part of the shower u turn on and off and adjust temperature (I dont know what its called)
So I said we would turn the mains water supply off and call the letting agents in the morning.
So this is what we did but I was then all anxious knowing there is no water supply and I cant just go to the toilet whenever I want! This anxiety obviously has made me feel worse all day!
We called the letting agents but they said the couldnt get anyone round today.
We must have called them before 9.00am.
I was obviously quite upset about this! I can't live this long without a toilet!!!
My housemate who is really understanding called the landlord, who is really nice, and he called the letting agents to make sure someone gets round today!
So, now I feel relieved, but I'm still angry they wouldnt do anything before then. I'm considering writing a letter to complain.

That suck when a neccessity is broken down especially a toilet for a crohnie! Hopefully this incident doesnt happen again. I can live without a lot of things but the toilet isnt one of them. I am assuming only one toilet there? We have two and an outhouse incase of emergencies but thank GOD I never had to use it!

We do have two toilets, but with no water supply they won't flush!
I still feel stressed to be honest, I need to get it all out my system. They have sealed off the leak now but we need a new shower. So water is back on, we will just have to use the Bath till the new one comes.
Thats fine! I'm happy without a shower as long as I have my loo!!
I'm annoyed and shocked that they think they can leave us without water for more than 24 hours!

It sucks . . .
I was at work last week-mid flare- I work in a hospital and the water supply stopped. We were advised to 'carry on as normal' without 'using the facilities' . . . first, a hospital with no water, no washing facilities, madness . . . . second, tell a crohnie they can't use the loo and i'm sure my CD decides I need to, just for fun!
I hope they get you sorted out really quickly now!

With the hurricanes here power can be off for days or weeks (record time for me was 5 weeks with no power at home) so we always prep and fill the tubs with water ahead of time so we can pour water into the tank to flush the toilet. Different there I know but if you can fill the tub or some buckets when there's a leak then turn the water off you'll be able to use the toilet for a bit.
