My capsule endoscopy is tomorrow so I'm in overdrive, overthinking everything.

I am actually hoping that it shows something because I am back to having what my doctor calls "severe mittelschmerz" and I have convinced myself that it has to be when I'm flaring and I ovulate. The pain is debilitating and I'm worried about losing my job if I miss too much work.

I'm hoping the fact that I start feeling pain about an hour after I eat, without fail, means something is going on.

As far as the work issue, are you in the US? If so, you can apply for Family Medical Leave (FMLA) which will give you some job protection. If you're not diagnosed or you have something new going on, it doesn't matter - you can still get approved for FMLA even if your symptoms don't yet have a name (I was told, all they really need to see is that you have an ongoing medical condition which causes you to need to take more time off than the average/healthy person would). I've had FMLA since I got sick, and I'm sure it saved my job at least once in the past. Good luck with the capsule endoscopy, I hope you get some worthwhile results from it!

I'm not eligible for FMLA leave from my job yet. I have to be here a year to qualify and I've only been here three months. Right now the pain is not so bad that it's keeping me from work (only sometimes when I ovulate is it that bad).

So the test got pushed to Friday because my doctor's brilliant assistant put it on the calendar for next Wednesday instead of today. :/ I asked it to be pushed up to Friday because I just want answers.
