I am pretty new here and new to the disease. I can't afford to go to the doctor and I don't even know what form of IBD I have yet. Anyway, I am really really struggling and incredibly depressed. I don't really know how to deal with things right now. I feel little to no support from my husband and family. I've been crying nearly all day. I'm usually by myself all day and live away from my family. How can I learn to cope and feel a bit more normal?

Welcome to the forum, we all support you here. Can you goto the ER for care? It's not a long term solution but it can get you a diagnosis and some care in the mean time. Also, where do you live there are Crohn's support groups globally.

I cannot go to the ER where I live. I don't want to go into details but let's just say that the doctors don't want to have to do their job. I think they're only willing to help someone if they have a life threatening injury or something. I am also agoraphobic and have trouble leaving the house. It's fine.

Im so sorry you are feeling so low :(
I cant offer any advice in terms of medical help because I dont live in the US.

There are loads of people all over the world on this site - and if you need to speak to anyone at any time, day or night there will be somebody online who can hopefully help.

You can use the chat feature to talk instantly to somebody. we are all hear for you

Many places have some sort of health care plan for low income individuals. What city are you in? Maybe I can help you find a clinic that accepts low income patients. Once you have a diagnosis then you can get proper treatment. Being low in certain nutrients can also bring on symptoms of depression so it would be great if you could get some blood work done in the near future to see if you need to supplement any.

Edit: I see one clinic in your area that does accept people who don't have health insurance and allows you to pay on a sliding scale. http://www.needymeds.org/free_clinics.taf?_function=list&state=wy

Also if you're unable to work have you tried applying for SSI and/or SSDI? If you qualify for either than you can get Medicaid automatically which is government run free health care. Yet you may still qualify based off of income alone. There's no harm in applying. https://www.healthcare.gov/do-i-qualify-for-medicaid/#howmed
